Inspired by childhood memories of Japanese hand-held fireworks, Kensaku Oshiro envisioned a lighting solution that goes beyond basic illumination for Poltrona Frau’s outdoor collection. The Sparkler lamp draws inspiration from organic modernism, rice paper lamps, and traditional wineskins associated with Mediterranean gardens to offer enchantment and lore through these light sculptures. The statuesque, yet versatile lanterns are weatherproof, portable and multifunctional, creating different lighting effects both day and night. Under the sun, they produce ever-changing chiaroscuro effects, and in the dark, the Sparkler illuminates with warm, intimate light, casting dramatic, almost hypnotic shadows. This stylish collection perfectly tops off any indoor/outdoor design scheme, adding a unique ambiance to its surroundings.
